The Mike Force Cap

Out on the fringes of the conflict, beyond the wire and beneath the dark canopy of the highland jungle, a secret cadre moves largely unseen.

Recognised by their black caps, these men operate as fast-moving reaction units in a shadowy game of counter-guerrilla warfare. Supplied through special funding to the Papa Nui Cap Co., their distinctive covers are emblazoned with skull and crossbones patches, locally made in the back streets of Saigon.

Paired with tiger stripes, béo gấm camouflage and garments adopted from the Indigenous tribes they work alongside, the Mike Force Cap becomes part of an unconventional uniform built for men operating far from the conventions of the regular army.

Moving stealthily along the trails, searching, ambushing and disappearing again into the jungle, these multipurpose units hunt an equally elusive enemy in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Black, anonymous and deliberately sinister, the Mike Force Cap is the unmistakable mark of those operating at the very edge of the war.
